ABOUT THE
AUTHOR

Richard Morris is a well-known professional journalist
who has written widely in the national press, and is a
seasoned broadcaster.  .

Although this is his first book on Local History, Richard
has brought to the task many skills and resources learned
in the course of researching news stories and has been able

to use the unique insights into human nature that come
with experience in journalism. Where much of the primary
evidence comes from newspaper reports and cuttings,
Richard is able to ‘read between the lines’ and detect where
news-management has got the better of integrity.

Above all, Richard  knows  how  to make a  story
interesting and how to carry the reader along with his
enthusiastic pursuit of a fascinating story
